"To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift." - Steve Prefontaine
Clinic Manager

Dr. Emilio Galis graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA receiving a B.S. degree in Health Sciences, a B.S. in Biology and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Emilio joined the Schrier team as a staff physical therapist in December of 2014. He is focusing on gaining his certified strength and conditioning certification and treats a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. Emilio has an interest in sports medicine and working with athletes that wish to excel in their sport after injury.

Emilio believes that using multimodal approaches of therapy that involve significant manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic exercise are vital to helping patients reach their functional goals. He approaches his treatments by looking at the whole body and treating with a hands on approach. He uses Dry Needling as a tool to treat his patients and is certified Dry Needling Specialist Level I. Each treatment is designed to maximize functional potential of each patient.

Emilio grew up in an area south of Pittsburgh called the Mon Valley. He has a very tight knit family that he accredits his success and personal traits to. Emilio attended Magruder High School in Derwood Maryland and graduated there in 2008. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing many sports, and watching Pittsburgh sports teams. Emilio has a special interest in boxing. He has worked with amateur and professional boxers in his lifetime and hopes to work with more in the near future.

"Nothing great is ever accomplished in life without enthusiasm" -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Staff Physical Therapist

Megan graduated from Elizabethtown College with a B.S. in Biology/Allied Health and a minor in Spanish. She then went on to attend Widener University outside of Philadelphia where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

At Widener University, Megan had the opportunity to provide pro-bono physical therapy services in a student-run outpatient clinic and therefore serve the uninsured people of the Chester community. This opportunity combined with her clinical experiences in Richmond VA, Lancaster, PA, and Jupiter, FL allowed Megan to develop her treatment style which includes manual therapy, neuromuscular re-ed, myofascial release, and dynamic therapeutic exercise.

She has a passion for sports injuries especially in running, climbing, and triathletes. Along with sports injuries, Megan has developed skills working with patients who have undergone neurological traumas such as brain injuries and strokes and understands the importance of functional recovery in all injury types. As a collegiate track and cross country athlete, Megan was awarded All-Academic by the NCAA and has continued her running endeavors into her post-graduate lifestyle.

When she's not training for long distance races, she is rock climbing, hiking, trying a new sushi restaurant, or celebrating a family event with her big family.

“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.” –Napoleon Hill
Staff Physical Therapist

Andrew graduated from the University of Maryland in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, specializing in Physiology and Neurobiology. He then attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2016.

Finding inspiration from his instructors and mentors, Andrew believes in a multi-modal approach to patient care. Using a combination of evidence based manual techniques, neuromuscular re-education, and patient specific exercise, Andrew works to develop individualized treatment programs to improve the way his patients move and feel.

He enjoys working with orthopedic cases of all types and, being a former competitive powerlifter, has a special interest in working with strength athletes. Andrew is from Boyds, MD and is a Montgomery County native. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending his free time weight training, fishing, playing chess, and having fun with family and friends.

That which does not kill us makes us stronger" Friedruch Nietzsche

Tina earned her degree from York College of Pennsylvania with a BS in Criminal Justice, and worked in the criminal justice field for eight years before deciding on a career change. She went back to school and earned her Associate of Applied Science for Physical Therapist Assistant from Montgomery College. Tina completed rotations in both outpatient orthopedic and skilled nursing facilities, but decided that her heart was in outpatient orthopedics. Becuase the interconnectedness of the body is part of why Tina chose a field in Physical Therapy, she believes in a multifacted treatment approach, including training in neuromuscular balance, and therapeutic exercices in addition to manul therapy. Tina is interested in learning more about myofascial release techniques and vestibular disorders.

Tina grew up in Derwood, MD, graduating from Magruder High School. In her free time, Tina enjoys reading, studying Middle Eastern Dance, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
