Neil Brown, MPT, LAT, ATC

Neil completed his undergraduate education at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio, where he gained his athletic training certification and a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science. Neil continued his education at Andrews University where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. As a Physical Therapist, Neil has gained his certification in dry needling and has taken multiple continuing education courses in areas that include, mobilizations and manual therapy for the spine and peripheral joints.

Trenna Coghan, PT

Trenna received her physical therapy degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY) in 1984. She has lived and practiced physical therapy in five different states over her career. She has worked in a variety of settings including: neurological rehab, oncology, acute care, subacute care, home health, and outpatient orthopedics. With her diverse background, Trenna has found each different treatment setting to be rewarding in its own way. Trenna has been a staff therapist with ProFlex since 1995.She enjoys patients of various diagnosis and has no particular specialty.

LeAnn Bowler, OTR/L, CHT

LeAnn attended Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina where she obtained her Occupational Therapy degree. She is Certified Hand Therapist and Occupational Therapist and has nearly 15 years of experience treating hand and upper extremity injuries, she enjoys helping patients improve their quality of life and regain range of motion and functional use.

In her spare time, LeAnn enjoys playing and coaching soccer, spending time with her family, traveling, going to the beach, attending her church and volunteering in the community. 

Jason Blakey, PTA

Jason attended the CACHE Physical Therapy Assistant program at Anne Arundel Community College. He graduated in 2005 with an Associates in Applied Science. He has worked at ProFlex Physical Therapy since 2005 and in February 2016 he became the Clinic Manager in the Clinton Office. Jason has taken continuing education courses in Kineso Taping, aquatic therapy, and multiple Great Lake Seminars. In Jason's spare time, he enjoys watching the greatest football team around (The Dallas Cowboys), playing golf and spending time with his family and friends.

Chris Grasso, PTA

Chris graduated Cum Laude with an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Northern Virginia Community College's Physical Therapist Assistant program and also holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Prince George's Community College.

Feleicia Patterson, PT, DPT

Felecia is a licensed physical therapist who completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the George Washington University and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida. Because of her passion for education and knowledge, Dr. Patterson has completed a number of continuing education courses and became a NASM certified personal trainer during her post-graduate years. Kathy Brady, PTA

Kathleen Brady, PTA graduated from the CSM/CACHE Program with a PTA degree in 1998. She has continued her education with classes in various musculoskeletal courses as well as stroke recovery and other neurological disorders. Kathy has worked at ProFlex Physical Therapy for 10 years with a variety of patient diagnosis/problems utilizing therapeutic exercises, manual techniques and different modalities. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys working in her garden, reading and spending time with her family and friends

Lori Smith, PTA

Lori attended the Chesapeake Area Consortium for higher education where she received her degree. Lori is a Physical Therapy Assistant and works in our Waldorf office. In her spare time, Lori enjoys running and skiing. 

Jill Yanick, OTR/L, CHT

Jill graduated with her Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy from Towson University, completing her clinical rotation in hand therapy at the Curtis Hand Center in Baltimore, and finished her education with a Master’s in Health Care Administration from the University of Maryland.   In her 13 years of practice, Jill has pursued continuing education coursework in advanced splinting, wound care, tendon injuries, complicated fracture management, multi trauma injuries, and dry needling.   She has presented at the Philadelphia Hand Conference and has been featured in the Maryland Independent.   Jill

Cathy Miles

Cathy attending Potomac Senior High School as well as Prince George's Community College, Boston University and Central Texas College. Cathy is an aide in our Waldorf office. In her spare time, Cathy enjoys arts and crafts, decorating, cooking and yard work.

Kimberly Smythers

Kim has worked for ProFlex Physical Therapy for 13 years. She works in our Waldorf office. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family and go to the beach.

Paige Canter

Paige attended Thomas Stone High School. Paige floats around to all of the offices in the Southern Maryland area. In her spare time, Paige enjoys spending time with her son, going to the movies, riding bikes and spending time with her family and friends.

Kimberli Walker, PT, DPT

Kim graduated from the University of St. Augustine in 2003 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics for the past 13 years. She has been a physical therapist with ProFlex since March 2015. "I love being a physical therapist because I love interacting with patients and I love the part I play with helping a patient transition from place of pain and improved function." In September 2016, Kim will be certified in dry needling which is a treatment method to relax tight muscles and decrease pain and inflammation.

Stephanie Butts

Stephanie attended Calvert High School and the College of Southern Maryland. She is currently enrolled in the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Anne Arundel Community College. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors.

Margaret Wood-Lucas

Margaret attended school at Richmond County High, Montgomery Community College and Prince George's Community College. Margaret currently works in our Clinton office. In her spare time, she enjoys reading.

Ashlie Peters

Ashlie went to school at Sanford Brown Institute where she received her certificate in Medical Billing and Coding. She is currently pursuing her Associates Degree. Ashlie currently works in our Clinton office. In her spare time, she likes to read up on current events. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.

Richard Hageman, PT, OCS

Rick Hageman went to school at the University of Illinois where he was President of his physical therapy class and is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He has taken multiple Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Courses in addition to Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Dry Needling, and Manual Therapy Courses. He is an adjunct faculty member and Board member of the Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education Physical Therapy Assistant Program.

Laura Ward, PT, DPT

Laura is a life-long resident of St. Mary's County. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Villa Julie College in Baltimore, Maryland and then attended Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA to complete her doctorate of Physical Therapy. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is a full time physical therapist at our Leonardtown Office.

Carolyn Price, PT

Carolyn grew up in upstate NY and received her BS/MSPT from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. After graduating and beginning working, she continued her education and earned her DPT  from Boston University. Carolyn has been with the company for almost a year, working as a PRN physical therapist in our Leonardtown office. When she is not working, Carolyn can be found spending time with her family and friends, volunteering at her sons' school or crafting. 

Wendy Merry, PTA

Wendy graduated from University of Maryland in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. From there, Wendy went on to complete her associates Degree in Applied Science at Northern Virginia Community College. Wendy continues her education yearly by attending various continuing education courses on various topics with emphasis on orthopedic treatments. Wendy has 27 years of experience in treatment and rehabilitation of orthopedic sports injuries.

Shannon Hargreaves, PTA

Shannon graduated, Cum Laude, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science Degree.  In 2005, she graduated, Summa Cum Laude, from Anne Arundel Community College with an Associate of Applied Science to become a Physical Therapist Assistant.  

Corey Hayden, PTA

Corey attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) where he received a Bachelors in Biology with a minor in Management of Aging Services from the Erikson School. He went on to complete the Physical Therapy Assistant program through the CACHE Program at Anne Arundel School of Health Sciences.

Elizabeth Hayden, PTA

Elizabeth graduated from the Chesapeake Area Consortium of Higher Education Physical Therapist Assistant program through the College of Southern Maryland in 2014. Prior to that, she attended University of Maryland, Baltimore County where she earned her degree in Biology with a minor in Management of Aging Services.

Pamela Hageman

Pam is the office manager at our Leonardtown Office. She has been with the company for over 18 years. Raised on the East Coast of New Jersey, Pam attended college in the Philadelphia area. Pam is active member in the community with women's sports, she is the Commissioner of the St. Mary's Girls' Lacrosse League. As a co-founder of the league, Pam has run the non-profit organization for 15 years bringing lacrosse to young women throughout the tri-county area and changing their lives forever. Coaching, teaching and mentoring young people are her passions.

Kayley Riti

Kayley attended the College of Southern Maryland and graduated in 2013 with her Associate's Degree in Business Administration. She is currently enrolled at the University of Maryland University College pursuing her Bachelor's Degree. Kayley works full time as a front desk coordinator at the Leonardtown Office. In her spare time she enjoys painting, photography and reading.

Emilio Galis, PT, DPT

Dr. Emilio Galis graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA receiving a B.S. degree in Health Sciences, a B.S. in Biology and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Emilio joined the Schrier team as a staff physical therapist in December of 2014. He is focusing on gaining his certified strength and conditioning certification and treats a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. Emilio has an interest in sports medicine and working with athletes that wish to excel in their sport after injury.

Ancy Alford, PT, DPT

Dr. Ancy Alford graduated from the State University at Albany, NY with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Psychology.  She then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Franklin Pierce University, NH in 2015. Ancy assisted in writing a research publication on “The Effects of Dance Therapy on Patients with Parkinson's Disease”.

Rick Saway

Rick is currently one of the Physical Therapy Aides at the Rockville office. Rick was born and raised in Olney Maryland. In December 2015 he graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in kinesiology. He is hoping to attend physical therapy school in the near future and is excited to be a part of the Schrier team.

In his spare time Rick likes to watch sports and hangout with his friends. Rick is a big Redskins, Wizards, Nationals and Capitals fan.

Eric Kohl

Eric graduated from George Washington University and is from the Rockville area. He handles the front desk at our Rockville office and helps the therapists out as a physical therapy aide. In what minimal spare time Eric has he likes to cook, drive, and hang out with his dog.

Brittany Olenick

Brittany was born and raised in Montgomery County.  She currently lives in Olney, MD with her family and her Chihuahua puppy named Remington. She graduated from Sherwood High school in 2011, where she was a varsity cheerleader for a 3-year county champion team. She attended Towson University and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. As an Exercise Science major, Brittany has a great deal of knowledge about the body and its mechanics.  She is dedicated to helping her clients, and their clients, improve their overall wellbeing through physical therapy.

Megan Bish, PT, DPT

Dr. Megan Bish graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science. She then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Lebanon Valley College in 2011. Since graduating, she has gained years of experience working as a traveling physical therapist moving all over the country. Megan has worked in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Texas, South Carolina, Illinois, Florida, and Nevada.

Karin Steele, PT, DPT

Dr. Karin Steele graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise. She then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2006. Since graduating, she has gained years of experience working in outpatient orthopedic clinics with a focus on post-surgical and sports rehabilitation. She joined Schrier Physical therapy in July of 2014.

Miguel Guerrero

Miguel is a Gaithersburg native but moved to attend school at Boston College. After graduating in 2008, he returned to the Washington D.C. area to work in clinical drug research.

Miguel has a deep interest in body mechanics and a keen eye for detail. His desire to get people back to their normal daily functions drives his clear guidance in therapeutic exercises. He hopes to enter into a physical therapy program in the future.

Eden Kuhn

Eden is currently one of the physical therapy aides working at the Gaithersburg office. She was born and raised in Gaithersburg and graduated from Gaithersburg High School in 2011. She then attended Clemson University and graduated in 2015 with her B.S. degree in Biological Sciences.

She has enjoyed her time with Schrier and looks forward to continuing to work with such a cohesive team at the Gaithersburg office. In the near future she plans to attend graduate school to gain her master’s degree in Forensic Science.

Alisa Plyles

Originally from Fayetteville, NC, where I attended Pine Forest High School. Moved to Greenville, NC in 2012 where she attended Pitt Community College as well as Nash Community College. Alisa studied HR Development, Medical Billing & Coding, Certified Pharmacy Technician, and Medical Office Administration. In her spare time she enjoys being an active member of my church, reading, cooking, fishing, and interior decorating. 

Fredrika Chase

Fredrika Chase recently graduated from Towson University in May 2016, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. Prior to attending Towson, she was enrolled at the College of Southern Maryland (CSM). She earned her Associate of Arts degree in General Studies in May 2014. During her time attending college, Fredrika took extra classes such as exercise aerobics, Tai Chi and medical terminology. Fredrika works in our Clinton office as an aide. In her free time, Fredrika enjoys watching TV and spending time with her family and friends. 

Alex Walter, LAT, ATC, CPT

Alexandra is a BOC certified and Maryland licensed Athletic Trainer from La Plata, MD. She attended Methodist University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2015, where she also played soccer for four years. She has been employed with the company and working at Westlake High School since 2015. While working at Westlake as the sole Athletic Trainer she has to be present at all practices, games, and other events at the high school.

Dani Bayse, LAT, ATC, CPT

Dani attended Longwood University in Farmville, VA from 2005-2010, where she was not only a part of hte athletic training education program, but also a member of the varsity field hockey team. She completed her athletic training internship working with the competitive cheer and football teams at the University of Maryland in the spring of 2010.

Shelby Smith, MS, LAT, ATC, CES

Shelby Smith, a previous "Student Trainer" at Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf, MD, graduated from Frostburg State University with her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training in 2016. She continued on to obtain her Masters of Science in Exercise and Sports Science with a concentration in Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation Sciences from the California University of Pennsylvania. During her studies at CalU, she also earned the designation of a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES). She now is serving as the sole Athletic Trainer at La Plata High School.

Casey Watson

Casey Watson graduated from Salisbury University in May 2014, where she earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science. While enrolled at Salisbury, she obtained her Personal Training certification through American College of Sports Medicine. She has worked as a PT aide since graduating college and hopes to attend physical therapy school in the near future.

Nathan Elliott, PT

Nathan began his career in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpson Third Class.  After the Navy, Nathan attended Howard University in Washington D.C.  Nathan graduated from Howard University in 1992, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy.  Nathan works as a Physical Therapist in our Waldorf office.  In Nathan's spare time, he enjoys working with patients at Long Term/Skilled Nursing Facilties and spending time with his family.

Emilson Hilario, PTA

Emilson attended Westlake High School before obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Neurobiology and Physiology at University of Maryland, College Park.  He then completed the PTA program at the College of Southern Maryland to become a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.  He is certified as a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer and in his spare time performs personal training and group exercies classes at Waldorf Fitness Center, incorporating high-intensity movements for efficient, effective and stimulating workouts.  He enjoys active sports such as tennis and swimming, as well as taking part in challeng

Tiana Patterson

Tiana has been with ProFlex as a Front Desk Coordinator since March, 2017.  She currently provides coverage throughout all of our Virginia locations at least one day a week.  In addition to juggling her ProFlex schedule, she attends college and is working towards her Bachelor’s in Business Management with a focus in the sports industry.   

Jennifer Hicks, PT, DPT

Jennifer is a licensed Physical Therapist at the Aquia location where she works to help people of all ages and ailments get back to activities they enjoy.  Born and raised in Virginia, she earned her Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Mary Washington followed by her graduate degree at Old Dominion University as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.  

Bethany Lisk Godfrey, PTA

Bethany attended Blue Ridge Community and Technical College where she earned an Associates in Science and Physical Therapy Assisting degree. Bethany is a staff PTA at the Aquia location, she enjoys the aspect of therapy where she gets to educate people to improve their quality of life.  Bethany comes from a long history of sports loving family, she plays soccer and softball competitively in college.

Mara Scribner

Mara is a graduate from Quince Orchard High School. Mara volunteers as a special needs tutor working with mentally challenged elementary students in an extended school year program. At ProFlex, Mara is a Front Desk Coordinator where she maintains a friendly likeable nature with patients in order to build strong relationships to better the quality of the patients experience.

DeNeah Cox, MS, OTR, CHT

DeNeah has been a practicing clinician since 2003.  She obtained her Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman's University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. In 2020 DeNeah became a Certified Hand Therapist.

Allison Vogel, PT, DPT

Allison attended Salisbury University for her undergraduate schooling, then went on to pursue her Doctorate at hte Medical University of South Carolina. Allison is a physical therapy at ProFlex physical therapy and has taken specilized courses in Dry Needling as well as aquatic therapy. In ther spare time, Allison enjoys spending time outdoors and on the water.

Laura Reeder

Laura is a full-time Front Desk Coordinator.  She is a life-long resident of Charles County.  Laura is a devoted mother of three.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and helping those in need.  Laura also enjoys fostering orphaned, sick and injured animals.

Tracey Webster, PTA

Tracey works diligently as a Physical Therapist Assistant at ProFlex Physical Therapy.  She attained her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from East Carolina University in 2009 and her PTA degree from the College of Southern Maryland in 2016. As a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal  Trainer, Tracey has been challenging individuals to reach their fitness potential since 2009. She has also been utilizing her skills as a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner since 2015.

Elleni Tekle

Dr. Elleni Tekle graduated from University of Gondar, Ethiopia with a Bachelor of Science degree of physical therapy in 2006. After working as a licensed physical therapist in Addis Ababa Ethiopia for 3 years, she came to the United States to pursue further education. She had her education credentials reviewed and she took courses for her education to be equivalent to a professional degree of physical therapy in the US.

Lauren Burroughs, MOT, OTR/L

Lauren received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Salisbury University in 2016. She then attended Trinity Washington University and received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2018. Lauren is an Occupational Therapist at our Leonardtown ProFlex PT location and plans on pursuing her Hand Therapy Certification. She thoroughly enjoys staying active by going to CrossFit classes, running, and playing outside with her dog. Lauren enjoys spending time outdoors and spending time with friends and family.  

Bria Wynn

Bria is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Criminal Justice at South University.  In her spare time, she likes to view artwork in a variety of museums, travel and paint.

Brittany Brown is a newcomer joining the Proflex team as a Front Desk Coordinator.  She attended King George High School until she moved in her senior year.  Brittany graduated from Caroline High School in VA where she studied American Sign Language, Spanish, and business.      

In her spare time, she loves going to the movies, shopping, singing karaoke, and arcades.  She loves going to amusement parks with her daughter and traveling around the world.

 

John "JD" Sheppard, II, PT, DPT, OCS

Dr. J.D. Sheppard, PT, DPT, is board-certified in orthopedic physical therapy. He began his PT training at Ohio University graduating in 2012. J.D. takes a special interest in treating runners and patients with lower extremity injuries including the foot and ankle. He also specializes in post-concussion treatment for patients of all ages.

Sarah Hickey, PT, DPT

Sarah went to The College of William & Mary for her undergraduate studies, receiving a B.S. in Kinesiology.  She then attended The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego, California, graduating with honors and receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She continued on to get a certification in Neuro-IFRAH for specialized treatment in patients with brain injury/CVA, a dry needling certification to further enhance manual therapy treatments, and most recently a Selective Functional Movement Assessment certification.

Sydney Thompson

Sydney has worked as a Front Desk Coordinator for ProFlex since 2018.  Sydney takes interest in all around holistic wellness and especially likes to promote physical therapy for its more natural approach to rehabilitation.  

In her spare time, Sydney enjoys spending time with her daughter Egypt, traveling and researching different cultures, languages, and recipes – she enjoys learning new things because she believes the more you know, the more you'll understand.

Stephanie Butts, PTA, began her career at ProFlex in 2011 as a PT tech.  In 2015, she received great news she was accepted into the Chesapeake Area Consortium for Higher Education (CACHE) PTA Program.  At that time, Stephanie took time off to further her career in the Physical Therapy world as a future Physical Therapist Assistant. ProFlex decided to remain as her employer throughout her years of schooling.  After graduating in May 2018, Stephanie took her Maryland State PTA Board Exam and passed with flying colors.

Tigisti Abraha, OTR/L, CPAM

Tigisti known by staff and patients as “T”, pursued her undergraduate degree in economics and marketing from Salisbury University.  She later went on to pursue her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy graduating from Howard University in 2010.  Tigisti enjoys a manual approach to the elbow, wrist, and hand rehabilitation process as well as fabricating custom splints.  She has furthered her pursuit of knowledge with a selection of postgraduate courses in the following areas:  active release techniques, manual therapy, kinesiotaping of the upper extremity, and instrument-assisted soft tiss

Shavondra "Nicky" Hawkins

Shavondra graduated from Calvert High School in 2003.  She finished high school and went into the beauty industry.  It was her gift to make others feel good on the outside.  After 10 years, she decided she wanted to change career paths.  She wanted to help people in a different way.  Shavondra joined the ProFlex team to help ensure patients have a great experience. 

In her spare time, she likes to spend time with family and friends.  She loves traveling, going to comedy shows, and binge watching shows on Netflix.

Bonnie Torres, PT, DPT

Bonnie graduated from the University of Maryland-College Park in 2010 with a degree in Kinesiology, the study of human movement.  From there, she attended the University of Maryland in Baltimore City to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree and served as the Community Service Representative for her class of 2013.  After graduation, Bonnie worked for a physician-owned practice in Montgomery County before moving back to Southern Maryland.  She earned her certification for Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT) in 2016 and for Dry Needling in 2021.  She has also taken courses on Myofasc

Maria Moore is a skilled physical therapist with over 17 years of experience. She attended Washington University in St. Louis and graduated with her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2002 and later earned her Doctorate degree from Northeastern University in Boston in 2013.  Maria spent 7 years as an Officer and Physical Therapist for the United States Navy with a focus on sports-related injuries and orthopedic conditions.  She also spent time in Japan in a pediatric setting and in Kenya volunteering her skills in nursing homes and orphanages.

Michele Ferguson MS, LAT, ATC

Michele Ferguson was born and raised in South Jersey and moved to Charles County four years ago. Even though Michele is from New Jersey, she is no stranger to living in Maryland. Michele graduated from Towson University with her Bachelors in Athletic Training in 2011. In 2014, she graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology.

Alexis Dickerson

Alexis graduated from Surrattsville High School in Clinton, MD.  She is currently taking classes at Prince George's Community College studying Biology.  Alexis is a Physical Therapist Aide at Proflex.  In her spare time, she enjoys doing hair and makeup.

Mikkel Linskey, PT, DPT

Mikkel completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Nazareth College of Rochester, New York in 2019.  During his last year of graduate school, he focused on research and advanced gross anatomy.  Mikkel is a Physical Therapist at the Waldorf clinic.

In his free time, he enjoys scuba diving, hiking and kayaking.

Gabrielle DiGiovannantonio

Leah Ross PT, DPT

Dr. Leah Ross is a native of Montgomery County, MD. She earned her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at James Madison University. Continuing her education at Touro College School of Health in Long Island, NY, she earned her doctorate degree in 2019.  In addition to treating orthopedic conditions, Leah treats pelvic health and has completed courses through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.  

Jazyln Johns

Jazlyn joins ProFlex as a Front Desk Coordinator in our Aquia location.  She attended high school at J.R. Tucker and continued her studies earning a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.  She has taken courses at Allied Rx Institute to receive her certification in Medical Billing and Coding.

In her spare time, she loves to read, dance, and spend time with her daughter.

 

Jessica Johnson, PT, DPT

Jessica completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She earned a BS in Biology, BS in health sciences, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.  Jessica enjoys working with a diverse patient population and age range.  As a former competitive soccer player, she has a special interest in athletes.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys watching sports, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.

Julia Brown

Julia joins ProFlex as a part-time evening Aide in our Leonardtown office.  She is currently a junior at Chopticon High School.  Julia runs Cross Country and Track and has earned First-Team All-County in 2018 for Cross Country.

In her free time, she enjoys playing video games.

Caitlin Nolan, PT, DPT, CSCS, MFDc

Caitlin graduated from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.  She is a licensed physical therapist at ProFlex, with additional coursework earning her certifications as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Myofascial Decompression certified for cup therapy and is working towards her National Pilates certification. 

In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys hiking with her family.

Makalla Bradbury

Makalla attended Knob Noster High School in a small town in Missouri.   She attended State Fair Community College in Missouri earning her Associate of Arts degree in July 2019.  After taking some time off and focus on her future and work, Makalla moved to Maryland in 2020.  She enrolled to the University of Maryland Global Campus studying Investigative Forensic Science.  Makalla earned an award from college in the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society.  Students have to maintain a 4.0 GPA for two or more years.

Taylor Short

Taylor is a 2020 graduate of Chopticon High School in Morganza, Maryland.  She played on the softball and volleyball team.  She is currently enrolled at the College of Southern Maryland to pursue her career as a Physical Therapist Assistant.  Taylor joins ProFlex as an Aide that assists withy any help that is needed around the office. 

In her spare time, Taylor likes to go to the gym and take her dog, Maverick, on runs.

Kimberly Copeland

Kimberly graduated from Suitland High School and was a standout-student and her favorite subject was business.  During high school, she was Captain of the PEP and Dance Club.  She also volunteered in the guidance office to assist with administrative tasks.  Kimberly joins ProFlex Leonardtown/Lexington Park locations as a Front Desk Coordinator.  

Devon Wilkie, DPT

Devon grew up in New Castle, DE where his desire to become a physical therapist started to take form. Through various injuries, Devon had spent multiple times as a physical therapy patient in his childhood. Not only were they able to assist him in recovering from his injuries, the fun and friendly environment that they always demonstrated greatly piqued his interest in the field. Devon attended Salisbury University for undergrad and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland- Eastern Shore.

Brook Bittner, PT, DPT

Brook attended school at Daemen College in Buffalo, New York. At Daemen, Brook completed her undergraduate
degree with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science – Health Science and her graduate degree with a Doctorate in Physical
Therapy. During her last year of college, Brook worked with two of her classmates to create a video to bring awareness to how
physical therapy can help prevent falls in the elderly population. The video won first place in the American Physical Therapy

Kerri Newman-Darrow, OTR/L, CHT

Kerri graduated Summa cum laude in biology at the University of Mississippi and earned her Masters's in Occupational Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.   She is a Certified Hand Therapist and has studied yoga, meditation, and fascial counterstrain (FCS). At ProFlex, she evaluates and treats orthopedic injuries in the hand and upper extremity with a focus on getting her clients back to their most meaningful life.

Devon Wilkie, DPT,

Patrick Brown, PT, DPT

Patrick Brown graduated from Slippery Rock University where he studied Exercise Science, and received his Bachelors of Science degree. He then went on to graduate school at Wheeling Jesuit University, where he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Patrick enjoys treats patients in order to reduce their pain and optimize their function. His goal is to help patients to resume the activities they love to do most and return to their daily life

Jasmine Upshaw

Jasmine is a full-time front desk coordinator. Jasmine enjoys listening to music and playing with her dog, Jade.

Kailey Rote, PT, DPT

Kailey attended graduate school at Creighton University, completing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in May, 2020. She earned a bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology at Loyola University Maryland. Kailey was a member of the women's soccer team for her 4 years at Loyola. 

Tamara Hanggi, MS, LAT, ATC

Tamara Hanggi went to Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia where she earned her Bachelors’s degree in Biological Sciences. While at Virginia Tech, she was a member of the Marching Virginians Flag Line, discovered the athletic training profession, and was an Athletic Training Student Aide. After graduating from Virginia Tech, she attended Northern Arizona University at a satellite campus in Phoenix, Arizona where she received her Master’s degree in Athletic Training. As a part of ProFlex, Tamara will be an athletic trainer at one of the local Charles County schools.

Emma Morgan Fisher

Emma graduated from St. Mary’s Ryken for high school. She has taken a few semesters at Salisbury University for a few semesters and is currently enrolled at CSM.

In her spare time, Emma loves to coach lacrosse and workout!

Courtney Allen, PTA

Courtney graduated from the Chesapeake Area Consortium of Higher Education Physical Therapist Assistance program through the Collage of Southern Maryland in 2020. Prior to that, she attended Towson University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.

Courtney is a Physical Therapist Assistant at the Waldorf office. She continues to learn new skills through continuing education classes. She has worked with a variety of conditions and enjoys helping patients return to their prior level of function.

Lauren Barrett, PTA, CES

Lauren graduated from the College of Southern Maryland with an Associate of Applied Science degree to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. She received the Outstanding Physical Therapist Assistant Graduate award from the College of Southern Maryland for the PTA class of 2018. Lauren has also been certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2020. At ProFlex, she helps people return to their prior level of function through manual therapies, therapeutic exercise, and other interventions.

Tyra Countiss

Tyra graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She is now a Physical Therapy Aide at ProFlex and a group fitness instructor in Leonardtown. She grew up in Southern Maryland and loves spending time with her family. In her spare time she likes to run, surf, and paddle board as well as anything else that is outdoors or in the water.

Amber Stuart LAT, ATC

I'm Amber, I was born and raised in Calvert County. I recently graduated from the Athletic Training Program at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where I received my bachelor's. Although this is my first year working as a certified athletic trainer I have experience working a variety of sports and camps through UNCW. I love spending time at the beach, on the boat, and hanging out with my 1-year-old pup.

Courtnee Springs, MS, LAT, ATC

Courtnee is an Athletic Trainer at ProFlex. She graduated from Chowan University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2019 with a Master of Science in Athletic Training. In her spare time, she enjoys playing basketball, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Holly Calabro

I am Holly, the new trainer at Great mills high school. My undergraduate degree is from Salibury University and my graduate degree is from Marshall University. I grew up in Southern Maryland and I'm thrilled to give back to the community that raised me! In my free time I love watching my daughter play volleyball and finding beach treasure.
 

Tyler Gene Veldhuizen, PT, DPT

Dr. Veldhuizen is originally from North Canton, OH and attended Malone University for his BA in exercise science before receiving his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Ohio University. He has additional certifications in MDT (McKenzie) treatment for low back pain and is passionate about helping people return to exercise and activities. Tyler is dedicated to ensuring the highest possible quality of care for each of his patients and sees all categories of orthopedic injuries. 

Julius Rosales, M.S, OTR/L

My name is Julius Rosales and I am a recent graduate of Towson's B.S/M.S Occupational Therapy program. I graduated Spring 2020 on the Dean's list with my Bachelors in Occupational Health and Well-Being and a Minor in Applied Adult Disabilities Studies. I then received my Masters's in Occupational Therapy from Towson in the Summer of 2021 while maintaining a GPA of 3.94 and above.

Victoria Waldron PT, DPT

Vickie earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania in 2018. From there she attended the University of Saint Augustine in Miami, Florida, graduating with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May, 2021.

While at Saint Francis University, Vickie became a Certified Exercise Physiologist. During this time she worked in a sports performance gym training middle and high school athletes, coaching them in Olympic weightlifting exercises.

Vickie is a Physical Therapist at our Leonardtown and Lexington Park locations.

Sandra Bynaker, PT, DPT

Sandra is a Physical Therapist at our Waldorf location. She attended physical therapy school at Marymount University in Arlington, Va. She also received her undergraduate degree at Marymount in Health Sciences, where she could further her education while still serving as an active member of the Southern Maryland Community.

Felicia Catarella, PT, DPT, CSCS

Felicia studied Exercise Physiology and received a Bachelor of Science from Bridgewater State University. She later went on to pursue her Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy at Simmons College in Boston, MA. During her 4 years of undergraduate schooling, Felicia made the Dean's List every semester and earned the Professor Mary Isabel Caldwell Memorial Award in April 2010 for her academic achievements. Felicia is a Physical Therapist at ProFlex PT Aquia.

Danielle Gorman, PT, DPT

Dani is a navy brat who has been a resident of St. Mary's County since 2003. She graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Shen then attended the University of South Florida and graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Regan Baringer

Regan can be found at the Front Desk at Proflex.  She graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire, with a BS in Exercise Science.  She comes from a background of working in a clinical setting in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab.  She switched careers a year ago and moved to the administrative side of the healthcare field. Regan likes continually learning something new while working the front desk and enjoys chatting and getting to know the patients while they attend therapy at ProFlex. 

Christian Campbell

Christian went to school at Allegany and attended Marriotts Ridge High. He is a physical therapy aide at ProFlex Waldorf.

In his spare time, he enjoys making music, reading, writing, and working out.

William "David" McSorley

John Krzemienski, PT, DPT

John attended Michigan State University for undergrad and the University of Wisconsin-Madison for physical therapy. He has practiced PT in home health, neurological rehabilitation, and now outpatient orthopedics. He enjoys treating orthopedic and neurological conditions, especially falls, balance and gait. John is both the clinic manager and practicing physical therapist at ProFlex Physical Therapy in Clinton, MD. 

In his spare time, John enjoys cooking, playing guitar and drums, hiking, and traveling.   

Elijae Cobbs

Elijae is new to ProFlex and has worked as a Front Desk Coordinator here since November 2022. With Elijae’s drive to help people she is studying STEM at Montgomery College in high hopes to have a career in the medical field.   

Elijae spends her free time playing soccer and challenging herself at the gym. Elijae is looking forward to traveling, trying new foods, and meeting new people in the new year.

Alexandra Jimenez, PT, DPT

Ally received her Bachelor of Exercise Science with a minor in Chemistry at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, where she took extra courses in Acute Care Physical Therapy and was the 2nd Year President of the Pediatric Special Interest Group. Outside of PT school, she has taken courses for treating runners in the Outpatient Physical Therapy setting. Jensen Anderson, OTD, OTR/L

My name is Jensen Anderson and I am a recent graduate of Belmont University’s Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program in spring of 2022. During the program, I participated in fieldwork rotation in an outpatient occupational therapy setting very similar to ProFlex, where I became interested in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation.

I recently moved to the DMV area and am very excited to start this position at ProFlex Waldorf.
